Clearview Towing Mirrors for the Toyota Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series!

Toyota Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series Overview

The Toyota Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series is a highly capable 4WD that blends rugged off-road performance with everyday comfort and refinement, making it one of the most popular touring and family SUVs in Australia. Built to handle demanding terrain with ease, the Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series is engineered for long-distance travel, towing, and off-road exploration without compromising on comfort.

Inside, the Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series offers a spacious and practical cabin with flexible storage options, providing up to 553 litres of cargo space (depending on variant and model year). This makes it well-suited for touring setups, including a chest fridge and fridge slide combination, camping gear, and essential travel equipment.

Over its production life, Toyota has continually refined the Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series with modern technology and comfort upgrades. Many later models feature a 9.0-inch infotainment display, with select variants offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for improved connectivity on the road. Depending on the trim level and year, drivers may also benefit from power-adjustable seating, along with heating and ventilation functions for enhanced comfort in all conditions.

Combining durability, practicality, and modern features, the Toyota Land Cruiser / Prado 150 Series remains a trusted choice for Australian drivers who need a capable SUV for both daily driving and serious touring adventures.

Upgrade Your Toyota Prado 150 Series with Clearview Towing Mirrors

The Toyota Land Cruiser /Prado 150 Series is one of Australia’s most trusted 4WDs, built for touring, towing, and off-road adventure. When you’re towing a caravan, camper, boat, trailer, or horse float, upgrading your setup with Clearview Towing Mirrors is a simple way to improve safety, visibility, and driving confidence.

Clearview Towing Mirrors extend outward to provide a significantly wider field of vision, helping reduce dangerous blind spots when towing. This improved visibility makes lane changes, reversing, and tight manoeuvring safer and more controlled, especially when travelling long distances or navigating busy roads with a load behind you.

Designed specifically for touring and towing applications, these mirrors integrate seamlessly with the Land Cruiser /Prado 150 Series while retaining the factory features you rely on every day. You get enhanced towing visibility without compromising the original functionality of your vehicle.

The Best Towing Mirrors for the Prado 150 Series

With a towing capacity of up to 3000kg, depending on the specific year and model, the Land Cruiser /Prado is a strong performer in towing. (It’s crucial to consult your owner’s manual to confirm your vehicle’s towing capacity before hitting the road.) To enhance your towing experience, we recommend considering a set of Towing Mirrors that will assist you in arriving safely to your next destination.

Our Clearview Mirrors for the Land Cruiser /Prado 150 are the ultimate choice. Engineered durable and stable with three styles of Towing Mirrors for the Land Cruiser /Prado: Classic, Next Gen, and Compact. All three styles are direct replacements that extend to provide additional visibility.

Our Towing Mirrors suit all types of towing, including the following:

– Tow Mirrors for Trailer Towing

– Tow Mirrors for Boat Towing

– Tow Mirrors for Motorbike Towing

– Tow Mirrors for Caravan Towing

– Towing Mirrors for Horse Float Towing

Extendable Mirror styles available for the Land Cruiser /Prado:

Compact Tow Mirrors

Our Compact Towing Mirrors are just like an OE Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that our towing mirror extension provides.

A large convex single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.

Next Gen Tow Mirrors

Our Next Gen and its twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.

The Next Gen’s dual mirror design provides the best of both worlds; a large flat top mirror helps with reversing into parking spaces or aligning a hitch with a trailer, and the smaller convex mirror provides a better understanding of what’s happening around the vehicle.

Classic Tow Mirrors

Ready for serious towing!

Very large top mirror 1:1 ratio. This large, flat mirror reflects true distance for reversing.

The smaller, convex mirror allows the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishes blind spots.

Mirror features for the Prado 150 include:

360 Camera – a parking system that provides extra vision of all angles of the car. It can be found under the mirror head. The OE Cameras need to be removed and installed into your new Clearview Tow Mirrors.

Blind Spot Monitoring – This feature is operated through ultrasonic or radar sensors on the vehicle’s rear and side. A small indication light will appear to alert you when another vehicle is within your blind spot. There may also be a beeping/audible alert, or the steering wheel may induce vibration, or a light shake will occur.

Power-fold – Clearview Towing Mirrors fold in towards the vehicle at the press of the Power-Fold button and return to the driving position just as easily. The system replicates your OE power-fold function, allowing activation via the key fob, door-handle touch panel, interior switch, door movement, or engine start/stop—depending on the vehicle. Only compatible with vehicles already equipped with factory power-fold. Options vary by make, model, and year.

Indicators – Lights located on the side of the Mirror that will flash to signal your intentions to swap lanes or turn. Our Tow Mirrors include a clear indicator lens with an amber LED light. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors come with a CAT5 indicator as standard.

Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment – Electrical Vertical and Horizontal adjustments to suit your preferred driving angles. Clearview supports this feature throughout our range. Single Mirror models can offer electric adjustments of the mirror. The double mirror models can only offer top glass mirror electric adjustments, the lower bottom glass is a manual adjustment.

Heat – A feature that demists and defogs your mirror glass when it’s frosty and icy. Operating off the same de-misting system as your vehicle.

All these features are only available for those vehicles that contain these pre-existing features such as 360-Camera, Blind Spot Monitoring, Power-Fold, Indicators, Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment, and Heat. The Mirror alone cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.

How to tell if your Prado 150 has Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)

Look for the Blind Spot Monitoring indicator—usually a small icon on the side mirrors that lights up when a vehicle is detected in your blind spot. You can also check your vehicle’s infotainment system or settings menu, or refer to your owner’s manual to confirm if your Prado is equipped with BSM.

How to tell if your Prado 150 has 360‑Degree Camera functionality

To identify if your OE Toyota Prado mirrors have the 360‑Degree Camera function, look for small camera lenses integrated into the mirror housing—usually at the bottom or front corner of each mirror. Vehicles equipped with factory 360‑Degree Camera systems will also have the feature active in your infotainment screen settings.

How to tell if your Prado 150 has the Heat functionality

To identify if your OE Toyota 150 Prado mirrors have heated mirror functionality, look for a small defrost icon etched into the mirror glass, usually in a corner. Vehicles equipped with heated mirrors will also have the feature linked to your rear window defroster, warming the mirror glass when the defroster is switched on.

How to tell if your Prado 150 has the Power-Fold functionality

To identify if your OE Toyota 150 Prado mirrors have power‑fold functionality, look for a fold/unfold button on the driver’s side door panel near the window switches. Vehicles equipped with power‑fold mirrors will fold and unfold automatically when pressing this button, or in some models, when locking and unlocking the vehicle.
